Signs Of The Times

From studies of the scriptures, the prophets and revelation, I see the gospel net gathering in all kinds of "fish". All are not prepared for the Celestial Kingdom and Eternal Increase, most will not be comfortable there. Yet there is a place prepared for all. All make choices. Many say the gospel is of utmost importance to them, but then they spend the majority of their off work time in sports, entertainment, self gratification etc.

The Lords true servants seek those who understand the signs of the times, or those who are seeking to understand. The prophets have foretold that after the "fishermen", would come the "hunters" to gather the "wheat" from the "tares". We live in a day rapidly approaching that similar to Sodom & Gomorra, or the time of Noah and the Flood. The homosexuals, have gained much power in our world today, as they did in the days of Abraham and Lot.

"Genetic engineering", was practiced in the days of Noah as today. I hope the Lords true Servants can find more than eight souls.

It doesn't look too promising for a great many to see the light. In the days of Jesus the Christ, there were many who heard him, but most knew not who He was, nor really grasped His message. In the early days of the restoration, (Joseph Smith to Joseph F. Smith), there was such a small percentage that entered into Celestial Principles. As a people they rejected the saving laws and ordinances of the gospel. Those who accepted and desired to live all of the Gospel were forced into hiding. There was the underground, directed by the priesthood of God.

The people scoffed at Noah, "who does he think he is?" Most of the Lords prophets have been rejected by the people. As we read in the Book of Mormon, The people raise up prophets who teach smooth things to the people, and say that "all is well in Zion", and the people place them on a pedestal, they revere them, and say how great they are. But when the Lord calls a true servant, who teaches the truth and calls the people to repentance, the people cast him out, call him names, bring about all kinds of mischief against God and His servants.

The earth will be cleansed. The wicked destroyed. A new seed preserved for a thousand years of peace. If we prove worthy, the lord will bless us with faithful companions. If we do not prove worthy, we will not become Celestial, we will have no increase. I pray the Lords will be done. The Lord has few true servants on the earth today, the duty of the people is to understand what is truth, and stand on correct principle. Joseph Fielding Smith witnessed how few of the church members had received the Holy Ghost. He witnessed that evils testified of in the scriptures, of the "mormons" trying to say the prophets were speaking of others, when the Prophets were really talking about the LDS people, the Gentile Church rejecting the fullness of the Gospel. See 16th Chapter of 3Nephi in conjunction with the two paragraphs on cover page of Book of Mormon, see if you understand. Search the Scriptures, seek truth by study and prayer and deny not the Spirit of God!

Isaiah foretold, and Joseph F. Smith said it was referring to LDS, in the last days the people would transgress the laws, change the ordinances, and break the everlasting covenant. A true seeker of truth, must ask, who changes the ordinances.

A Book of Mormon prophet speaks of a time when a man would stand before the people and say "all is well, all is well in Zion yea, Zion prospereth, all is well". Do you know what was predicted in relation to this? Do you know who fulfilled that prediction in LDS Conference? Do you understand the signs of the times?

Isaiah also foretold: the leaders of my people cause them to ere and destroy the ways of their paths. I have had the opportunity of spending some time alone with Joseph Fielding Smith, wherein we discussed gospel principles, which was a fine experience..

I have witnessed a President of the LDS Church stand up in Conference, hold up the scriptures and say "we have been a hundred years getting away from these, it is time we got back..." I also witness that he was silenced by men of power, against the truth. He did not live to teach another day.

In the D&C we read; "when the times of the gentiles is come in a light shall break forth among them that sit in darkness, and it shall be the fullness of my gospel, but they receive it not, for they perceive not the light....." then "when the times of the gentiles is fulfilled, there will be men standing in that generation who shall see a desolating sickness cover the land..." D&C 45 Do you understand the signs of the times? All of these things were foretold by Jesus Christ, see and understand B of M lll Nephi 16: .... Do you understand the signs of the times? Again, Jesus Christ was so concerned about the "gentiles" who would receive the Book of Mormon, He shows this people to Moroni, as recorded in eighth chapter of Mormon. Do you understand who the gentiles are that Christ spoke of? If not, there is a clue in the two paragraph introduction to the Book of Mormon "and these things shall come forth in due time by way of the ....." Search the D&C for further witness. It is there. Do you yet see and understand the signs of the times?

David O. McKay said he wished someone would wake up this sleeping and apathetic people. Most it seems are content to muddle along in the same way, and stay in their "comfort zone".

These are but a few of the signs of the times foretold by the Prophets of God. There are many more.

Strait is the gate, and narrow the way and few there be that find it (Eternal Life or life with God). Dear reader, will you find the Way?

"Moses sought to teach the people that they might see the face of God and Live, but they hardended their hearts, and would not, and Moses was taken out of their midst, and the Holy Priesthood also". Was this given in the D&C as a warning to us? What do you really understand by this warning? Why do you suppose the Lord opened this knowledge in these latter days? For what was the gospel, laws and ordinances restored? Were these things restored to be forgotten and laid aside. The scriptures and Prophets say otherwise.
How can we lay aside any principle of the gospel and still have the fulness of the gospel? We can not! The laws of the Gospel are Eternal, from generation to generation, from world to world, from Eternity to Eternity. To get where God is, we must do what He has done to get there, obey the Eternal Laws and Ordinances of the Gospel.

Joseph Smith Jr. born Dec 1805, as a young lad, after seeking the Lord through fervent prayer was visited by our Eternal Father, Jesus the Christ and holy ancient Prophets. With others under the direction of Jesus Christ, he organized Christ's Church April 6, 1830 in the State of New York, USA. It has become known as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Since the establishment of the Church there has been much apostacy or departing from the revelations of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Doctrine and Covenants, often referred to as the D&C. What the Church headquartered in Salt Lake City, has today as the Doctrine and Covenants is only part of what was originally published as the Doctrine and Covenants. What is now published as the Doctrine and Covenants, was originally called the Book of Covenants and Commandments, with a few press releases or "Official Declarations" added in as a result of giving into the people and Government demands. Where is separation of Church and State? When Government dictates what a religion can believe or practice, it is not Separation of Church and State! When the Doctrine and Covenants was early published it had some doctrine called the Lectures of Faith. The Lectures of Faith contain some very important principles of truth taught by the Prophet Joseph Smith in the School of the Prophets.
